One of my most popular blog posts is my recipe for a homemade electrolyte drink. I love this recipe. I’ve given it to my kids when they need to get rehydrated after playing sports or having a bout of tummy troubles.

It’s an easy and delicious recipe that works for the whole family.

But then I had an idea. I’ve been experimenting with essential oils (these are the only essential oils that I use) and wanted to try a few of my favorite oils with this recipe.

The Ingredients

Salt is the key ingredient to get electrolytes into the body. Electrolytes are basically salts – specifically the ions. Learn more about the benefits of electrolytes and why you need them. Electrolytes are lost during exercise through sweat or fluid loss.


Raw or local honey is a natural sweetener that’s actually good for you and helps to soothe tummy troubles.

Fresh lemon juice contains electrolytes, such as potassium, magnesium and calcium, which help to restore hydration in the body.

Where to Get Kitchen Pantry Essentials

I get my other kitchen pantry supplies like sea salt, black pepper, spices, coconut oil, and other essentials either on Amazon or my local health food store usually.
