Equipment

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Use a double boiler on low heat to melt all ingredients (except essential oils). Stir with a metal spoon until beeswax is fully melted.
  • Remove from heat once melted and add essential oils.
  • Fill lip balm tubes or tins, and let cool for a couple of hours to firm up.

Notes

Chocolate Peppermint Lip Balm
  • Substitute shea butter for almond oil
  • Use 10 drops Peppermint essential oil
  • Follow the rest of the recipe as is
Note: Some favorite essential oils to use are lavender, lemon, grapefruit, geranium, or even rose. Just remember that citrus oils like lemon and grapefruit can make the skin photosensitive to the sun (more likely to burn) so avoid those if you plan to be out in the sun.
