Make your own Vanilla Chai Latte at home with this easy recipe. Just add your milk of choice (full fat, coconut, cashew or almond) and dry spices to make a delicious chai latte you can enjoy anytime. Drink it hot or cold, and with or without the caffeine.
Brew 2 black tea bags with 3/4 cup hot water for 3-5 minutes.
Add milk to a small saucepan. On a medium-low setting, heat up to desired temperature. Be careful not to boil to avoid burning the milk. Then turn off the heat to saucepan.
Add vanilla extract and dry ingredients to the sauce pan or pour into a separate container like a mason jar, and add milk.
Use an immersion blender to mix spices and and milk. This will help to frothe the milk.
Pour black tea into two large mugs, and then top with the milk and spices. Drink and enjoy.
Notes
For a caffeine free option, use decaffeinated black tea.
