1. Stovetop
To warm up leftover food on the stove in a pan or pot add a little water or broth (for soups, stews, beans, sauces, pasta, or rice) or oil (for meat or vegetables) and cover with a lid.
Use low medium heat for 3-10 min.
2. Hot Stone Bowl
Spray the inside with cooking spray or oil to help prevent sticking. Add food to reheat and put on the lid. Use medium heat for 5-10 min. Place it on a trivet, and eat from the bowl. It will be hot so take caution.
3. Double Boiler
In a large pot, add about 1 cup of water and a metal trivet. Put food in a heat-safe container on the trivet, then put the lid on the pot. Use medium heat to create steam to reheat food in about 5-10 min.
4. Double Boiler in an Instant Pot
In the inner pot of an electric pressure cooker, add about 1 cup of water and a metal trivet. Put food in a heat-safe container on the trivet, then put the lid on the pot. Set to high pressure for 5 min to reheat food.
5. Steam
Add about 1 cup of water to a large pot. Place the food in a bamboo basket or stainless steel colander in the pot and cover with a lid. On low-medium heat, the water will boil, and the steam will reheat food in 5-10 min.
6. Bake in a Toaster Oven
Place the food on a tray that fits the toaster oven. Set the temperature lower, around 300-350 degrees, on bake for about 3-5 minutes. For added crispy deliciousness set to broil for an additional 1-2 min.
7. Broil in the Oven
Set the oven to broil temperature. When the oven is ready, put the food on a baking sheet and place it on the top tray of the oven. Heat for 3-5 minutes or until done. Turn food over to crisp on both sides.
8. Air Fryer
Pre-heat air fryer at 400 degrees for about 5 min. Spray the air fryer basket with a cooking spray. Place food in the air fryer basket, and cook at 350 degrees 3-4 min or longer if needed.
9. Portable Food Warmer
Reheat food on the go with a portable food warmer or slow cooker like a Crockpot. Many require an outlet or car charger to reheat food and a heat-safe container.
