Lavender is probably the best-known essential oil ever. It has a fragrant aroma that smells calming and relaxing, and you can probably recognize the scent of Lavender essential oil in some of your favorite body care products.

Because it’s one of the most versatile essential oils, it’s often referred to as the Swiss-army knife of essential oils. Typically, if you’re in doubt on what oil to use just reach for Lavender.

What is Lavender Essential Oil?

Lavender is one of the most popular essential oils in the market. But trust me, not all Lavender is created the same. Look for a quality source. I personally love Young Living. Their Lavender essential oil literally smells like I just cut lavender flowers from my garden.

Young Living does have two types of Lavender available – and I’ll explain why:

  • Lavender (for topical and aromatic use)
  • Lavender Vitality (the white label – for dietary/internal use)

Why two bottles? It’s the exact same oil, but a product cannot be used for topical and dietary, according to product labeling standards. But do know that it IS the same oil. So how do you use Lavender essential oil ? I’ve got 10 great uses – keep reading…
