I hate to rub it in but this is definitely the time of year I get to reap the rewards of the sunshine tax. Living in San Diego isn’t cheap (well, maybe it is relative to living in Hawaii – my original home), but compared to many other cities in the US it’s still expensive.

But we get pockets of sunshine in the winter where it’s warm enough even for the little man to run in his diaper.

  1. So cute – the picture and the diapers!

  2. Adorable! Santa Cruz is right up there with San Diego…so expensive to live here- especially as I search for a rental for my family. But gosh, I do love living and raising my family here. Guess we’re paying extra for lifestyle and being surrounded by beauty.
