Unwind after a long day with this luxurious and calming DIY Rosemary Lavender Body Salt Scrub.
This body scrub is really easy to make. It’s just a bit of Epsom salt, coconut oil and Lavender essential oil. Add a few leaves from a fresh rosemary sprig for an earthy, relaxing aroma.
I like to make a big batch of this DIY body scrub to give as gifts for the holidays, birthdays, new neighbors and even teacher gifts (because all teachers need some pampering, right?). I buy a set of 12 pint-sized Mason jars with a wide mouth and fill each one with this DIY Rosemary Lavender Body Scrub and then tie a cute ribbon to the jar. Voila! 12 DIY gifts made in less than 30 minutes.
About the Ingredients
Epsom salt gently exfoliates the skin, making it feel soft.
Coconut oil is great for dry, scaly or itchy skin. It helps to naturally moisturize.
Lavender essential oil is soothing to the skin and has a calming aroma – making it a perfect addition to any beauty or body care product.
- 2 cups Epsom salt
- 1 cup organic extra-virgin coconut oil
- 10-15 drops Lavender essential oil (where to buy)
- Sprig of fresh rosemary (optional)
- In a large bowl, add Epsom salt, coconut oil, Lavender essential oil, and cut rosemary leaves. Mix well.
- Transfer mixture to a pint-sized Mason jar. Cover with lid.
Omit the rosemary for a simple, yet luxurious body scrub that will leave skin feeling soft.
