Wordless Wednesday: Enjoying the Little Moments

After what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Conn. last week, I feel like life has been on slow motion. I can’t even begin to imagine what it feels like for the affected families. Still, I feel sadness, sympathy, shock and helpless. And at the same time, I’m trying to enjoy every little moment with my little ones – utterly grateful that I still have time with them when others have lost so much.

Like many of you, I gave my kids extra hugs, threw a little caution to the wind and gave them treats that I wouldn’t normally give them, and just enjoyed all the little moments of being a mother to three rambunctious boys.

Face painting for the holidays:

My one-year-old son discovering how to step up on a bike rack. It was so much fun just to watch him go up and down – he was the master of that bike rack.
