I love finding frugal (ahem, cheap) and simple solutions to things I use every day. Case in point, I used to spend $3-5 a bottle for an all-natural fruit and veggie wash. Then, I learned that adding a cup of vinegar to a sinkful of water basically does the same thing. It kills bacteria and removes most of the wax and pesticides off fruit and vegetables. Vinegar is so cheap and I know exactly what my vegetables and fruit are soaking in.
Plus, a vinegar wash can help strawberries and other berries last longer and mold free. Check out LifeHacker for more information.
