Signs of Abroad

I visited my sister who lives in Taipei, Taiwan back in early January. It was fun to go back to my mother’s hometown, visit the sights, and eat authentic Chinese food – though I was dying for fish tacos when I came back.

I think the highlight of my trip was seeing all the funny signs and English translations that just weren’t quite right. Here are a few of my favorites.

Gotta love this wine bar. First you start with a glass of wine, and then for dessert some Italian pleasure. Sign me up, please!

Listen, I know I’m shopping for lingerie but I don’t want to be that obvious about my sexual status as to call myself easy.

Hey mom, can I get some beef filet chips in my lunchbox? I could so see my kids asking for that.

Yum! A tasty treat of beef tongue cake sounds delicious! My sister said it’s not really made of beef tongue but I don’t believe her.

I know a lot of you have traveled abroad. What funny signs have you seen?
